ISLAND Spotlight :: Haiti is on my Mind by Jeff Antebi

In light of the 2nd earthquake that just hit Haiti (the aftershock from the first one), we hope to remind everyone to do what they can to help our brothers and sisters in the devastated country. Here are some posts with places to donate. One Image Charity, Planet Awesome Kid, A PhotoEditor. Text the word “Haiti” to 90999 which makes a $10 donation to the Red Cross. We’ve heard that it’s raised millions of dollars.

Dazed & Confused fashion editor Robbie Spencer works with PETROU\MAN once more, using Petrou’s bodysuits to craft faceless silhouettes for the magazine’s February issue. Photographed by Kacper Kasprzyk, Craig (Models 1), Michael and James (M+P) become anonymous forms to showcase several of spring’s prints from the likes of Kenzo, Prada and Alexander McQueen.

Model Spotlight :: Martin Villanueva on The Avenue

ISLAND is most ecstatic to introduce, new face Martin Villanueva. This incredibly, amazing face was discovered on the isle of Trinidad (on vacation) by one of our own authors (Kai Jankovic), while Martin and his sister Paula Villanueva where at the movies. Astonished by what he saw, he had to have this new face photographed.

Born in April 1987 Mexico City, Mexico, the 5-foot-10 tall Martin is graduated in '09 with a B.A. from Tufts University (Boston) USA. When he's not in the face of a camera (where we wish he would live forever), Martin is either swimming, wall climbing, reading or juggling. He loves music, bake n'shark, his family and physics (beauty gifted with intelligence). Dislikes corn syrup, unexpected rain and stupid people (can soooo totally relate).
